Exercise that will give you a flat stomach in 10 minutes

Every mom in the world knows a saggy, sagging tummy after childbirth. You might think that there is no such thing as an exercise that can bring down a flat stomach.

The scientific term which qualifies this state is however little known. It is the rectus diastasis, an abdominal relaxation resulting from the pressure of the fetus on the abdominal muscles of the mother around the umbilicus. While these muscles reposition themselves directly after childbirth in some lucky mothers, they may remain stretched in others. The organs and tissues then protrude and form a small tummy.

How to get a flat stomach in 10 minutes

According to specialists, it is enough for the muscles to return to their place for the stomach to flatten. The following belly firming exercises could be very helpful. And to get even faster results, you can practice a simple 10-minute exercise at home that slims the waist.

  1. Start by sitting on the floor and cross your legs, then put your hands on your stomach. Take a deep breath into the bottom of your stomach. Then, as you exhale, draw your abs as far as possible towards the floor.
  2. Continue taking deep breaths and bring in more and more of your abdominal muscles with each exhale, as if you want to press them against your spine. Continue for 10 minutes.

And There you go! At least until tomorrow. This exercise has proven itself. A pilot project led by Leah Keller, personal trainer, and Dr. Geeta Sharma, obstetrician-gynecologist at Weill Cornell Medical Center (New York-Presbyterian Hospital), involved 63 women with, particularly loose abdominals. After doing this 10-minute daily exercise for 12 weeks, they all got over their rectus abdominis. Some had even lost a few inches in waist circumference.

“We have had patients who even benefited from it a year after giving birth,” says Dr. Geeta Sharma. We were delighted to be able to help all these women. "

Although this exercise has not been tested on men or women who have not given birth, we believe that it can really help.
